General Terms and Conditions
1. Generals
This is an abbreviated form of our terms and conditions for our sales and services. In any case the German text of these conditions shall prevail.

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. We recommend you print out a copy of these terms and conditions for your future reference. Any contradictory terms to these terms and conditions are not part of the contract unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
2. Order Process
The 'confirmation' stage sets out the final details of your order. Following this, we will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on despatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it. The customer is obliged to inform the seller about any differences between the order and the delivered product. If a product is out of stock, we will notify the customer immediately and any money paid is reimbursed.
3. Transfer of Ownership
Until full payment, goods remain our ownership. Until full payment the customer is obliged to a, take good care of the goods
b, prevent access to good by third parties
c, indicate change of address
In case the customer acts not conform to the contract, in particular if he doesn’t pay, the contract becomes void. Goods have to be re-dispatched to us.
4. Cancellation, Return and Refund
All our products are manufactured accorindg to the stringent Robe Acadademicus quality standards. However, if you wish to return goods to us, this is not a problem. We offer a 14 days money back guarantee.
You can cancel your contract any time within two weeks without giving the reason, by simply send back the goods. We refund the full amount of order. The two weeks period starts with the reception of this text but not before the reception of goods and also not before we have informed you acc. to article 246 § 2 BGB in connection with § 1 Abs. 1 and 2 EGBGB-InfoV and our duties acc to § 312e Abs. 1 Satz 1 BGB in connection with aritcle 246 §3 EGBGB. No postage required. Please take care of the goods in the meantime and don't use them. If goods were visibly damaged by the customer, we can ask for compensation payments acc to § 357 Abs. 3 BGB. All question related to returns and refund, please direct to Robe Academicus GBR, (Bahnhofstr. 18, D-86911 Diessen a. A., Deutschland) per email (info(AT)robe-academicus.de). You can inform us about a refund by sending us an email, letter, fax, or simply send back the goods. The deadline for cancellation of order starts with re-sending the goods or sending us the information about the wish to refund the goods.
If the re-fund request is legally correct, we will refund your money. If you have used the goods, we might decrease the refund accordingly. This does not concern a use similar to trying the goods on in a shop. You can avoid any decrease in refund if you don't use the goods as if you were the legal owner and avoid any value decreasing use. Obligations and information are needed within the 30 days after your first declaration of your wish for refunding.
The terms and conditions for refund are not the same for specially tailored goods, such as university logos on the goods or specially coloured goods. As these goods are made to measure, a refund is only granted if the material is faulty (§312d BGB). If your request is correct, we fully refund your money. Please respect the legal deadlines for refunds. In case of translation differences, the German version of the rules for refunds will prevail.
5. Delivery and Payment
Delivery on invoice with public institutions and against prepayment with private persons. All prices are in Euro, including German VAT and without delivery charges. Delivery and packing is 8 Eur incl. VAT within Germany and 15 EUR incl. VAT for international sales. There is no delivery and packing cost if the order sum is more than 150 Eur incl. VAT. All prices are subject to changes. Sales only if goods are in stock. Customers need to be above the age of 18. There are no online payment possibilities. All payments have to be made per bank transfer.
6. Delivery Times
Delivery times are subject to changes, except if Robe Academicus has confirmed delivery date by writing. Generally delivery is 2 weeks after written order. There are no liquidated damages for delivery delay. And, we do everything to keep our delivery date promises.
7. Guarantee
We guarantee that the goods delivered are not faulty. All sizes and measurements, colour and design information are approximate but we do try to make sure that they are as accurate as possible. Sometimes the product specifications may change, in which case we will do our best to offer you a substitute of the same or better quality at the same price. If you are not happy with the replacement you can return it in accordance with our 14 day money back guarantee. We accept no liability of any kind for any loss or damage from faulty delivery.
8. Liability Limitations
Our liabilities apply only when we have acted in severe negligence of our contractual duties. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability, which may not otherwise be limited or excluded under applicable law. Our aggregate liability (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) for loss or damage shall in any event be limited to a sum equal to the amount paid or payable by you for the product(s) in respect of one incident or series of incidents attributable to the same clause. This clause does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, nor does it affect your contract cancellation rights.
9. Liability for website contents
We will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information on the site according to German law § 6 Abs.1 MDStV und § 8 Abs.1 TDG, but make no representation or warranty of any kind express or implied statutory or otherwise regarding the contents or availability of the site or that it will be timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the website we will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the website and we accepts no liability of any kind for any loss or damage from action taken or taken in reliance on material or information contained on the site.
Liability for website links
Please be aware that our site may link to other web sites, which may be accessed through our site. We are not responsible for the data policies or procedures or the content of these linked web sites. We have verified those websites at the time of linkage and could not observe any illegal content. However, we cannot verify the links on a permanent basis. In case we observe illegal content, we will remove those linkages immediately.

Any dispute arising out of the use of this Website, the Content or availability thereof, the construction or interpretation of this Agreement, or anything related or similar thereto is governed by the laws of Germany, without any reference to conflicts of laws rules or principles. Any dispute arising out of the use of this Website, the Content or availability thereof, the construction or interpretation of this Agreement, or anything related or similar thereto is only to be decided by a court of competent jurisdiction sitting within the legal boundaries of Landsberg am Lech (Germany).
11. Privacy Policy
According to German law § 28 des BDSG we process data with a computer. You will be asked to provide certain information such as your contact details (such as name, address and email, etc.). We will store this data and hold it on computers or otherwise. We will use this data to fulfil our agreement with you. We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. We do not exchange your data nor cookies with any third party websites or external data suppliers.
12. Final Clause
If, for any reason whatsoever, any term of this Agreement is deemed by a court to be void, voidable or otherwise unenforceable, such term shall be deemed to be severable from the remainder of the Agreement, and the remainder of the Agreement shall be construed and interpreted without reference to the unenforceable term. These terms and conditions including the documents or other sources referred to in these terms and conditions supersede all prior representations understandings and agreements between you and us.
